God of Mischief
 
A jötun by birth and an Æsir by oath, Loki is complicated and his motives hard to define. On one hand, he is responsible for the creation of Asgard’s wall, magical weapons such as Mjölnir and Gungnir, and is the mother of Oðin’s horse, Sleipnir. On the other hand, he caused the death of Baldr and sired the monsters that will ultimately defeat the gods at Ragnarök. Above all, he is a trickster who balances the mythology by working both for and against the gods.
