This new offering is a printed canvas of Aric Jorn's original sculpted “Odin’s Ravens,” which was the first piece in the Mythic Pairs series. It depicts Odin’s twin ravens Huginn (“thought”) and Muninn (“memory”), whom he sends off each morning to fly throughout the nine realms and report back the news of the day. Huginn and Muninn represent the gathering of knowledge and the search for wisdom – two things for which Odin had an unquenchable thirst. Here they are shown perched on a rune stone featuring a sampling of pre-Viking Age runes known as Elder Futhark along with a representation of Odin riding his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir.
